Dining

The Hillcrest Coachman Restaurant is situated in an historic Federation estate established at the beginning of the century. The Restaurant seats up to 110 guests in its historic rooms and up to 40 guests on the verandah overlooking the spectacular gardens.

The dining rooms are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings
and Saturday and Sunday lunch.

Les Entrées

Crème de maïs à l’huile de truffe
(Cream of sweet corn soup with white truffle oil)

Salade de tomate, bocconcini et pistou
 (Salad of tomato and baby mozzarella cheese served with a basil sauce)

Saumon fumé
 (Smoked Tasmanian salmon with traditional garnishes & condiments)

Escargots à la bourguinonne
 (One dozen snails baked with garlic & parsley butter)

Risotto de champignons
 (Braised short grain rice, white wine and stock mixed with mushrooms)

Poisson du jour grillé
 (Grilled fish of the day served with lemon & thyme butter)

Blanc de volaille au persillade
(Oven-roasted breast of chicken with a sauce of parsley, garlic, lemon & virgin olive oil)

Carré d’agneau, croûte d’herbes et moutarde
(Roast rack of lamb with a mustard & herb crust and served with a Madeira sauce)

Pièce de boeuf au deux poivres
 (Grilled tenderloin of beef served with pink & green peppercorns, brandy & a veal jus)

Assiette de fromages brie et bleu
(Fine Australian brie and blue cheese served with pear and crackers)

Glace au café et baïes de rouge
 (Home-made coffee ice cream with seasonal berries)

Salade d’ananas à la menthe
(Minted pineapple salad served with coconut ice cream)

Profiteroles au chocolat
(Traditional profiteroles filled with rich vanilla ice cream
and topped with melted dark Belgian chocolate)
