The Greater Blue Mountains has been listed as a World Heritage area due to its outstanding biodiversity and unique eucalypt vegetation. CLOUDLANDS sits within this, backing directly onto National Park. There are numerous bushwalks and nature-based activities on offer in the region. Bird life is abundant (30% of all Australia's birds are found in this region) and guests staying at CLOUDLANDS get an opportunity to see many parrrots, rosellas and other birds who visit at close range on a regular basis. CLOUDLANDS provides easy access to Leura and Katoomba village centres, where visitors can enjoy a vibrant restaurant/cafe culture, numerous book and gift shops, antiques and vintage clothing. Several artisan bakeries are also here, producing excellent organic sourdough breads and featured extensively in our breakfast provisions! A strong arts community has contributed to a wealth of festivals, recitals, performances, exhibitions and galleries, with tailor-made tours of galleries and artists at work available.
