CULTURAL EVENTS AT HISTORIC CLOSEBURN HOUSE
Highlight of the year is the traditional ROBERT BURNS
SUPPER,
always held on the weekend closest to the poets birthday 25th January. In 2007 the date will be Saturday 27th January. Numbered ll16 on the roll of
the Burns Federation, Kilmarnock, Scotland, the Closeburn Burns Club takes pride
in the authenticity of this great occasion, serving a five course Scottish
Banquet including Haggis and other Highland delicacies. The evening is enhanced
by the Highland atmosphere of Closeburn's 3,500 ft, altitude, Pipers, and the
customary Address to the Haggis, Toast to the Immortal memory, Toast to the
Lassies Kilts and Tartans are especially welcome for this celebration. Special
accommodation Packages are available. Reservations are essential.

QUEEN VICTORIA'S BIRTHDAY AT MOUNT VICTORIA
Where else to celebrate the Great Queen's Special Day (May
24 -previously called "Empire Day") but Closeburn House. This year it will be lunch on the 21st May 2006.
The traditional English
Luncheon commences at 12.30 and guests are treated to Victorian Ballads,
Patriotic Airs and Gilbert & Sullivan provided by Mountain Opera Chorus. An
afternoon not to be missed. Special accommodation Packages available, and
