Projects

Amongst numerous projects already funded by the Friends are the Rose Garden and Herb Garden in Sydney, the Viewing Platform at Mount Tomah, Wollemi Pine research at Mount Annan, and the provision of seats for all three gardens.

Also an annual scholarship is awarded to a member of the horticultural staff. Such undertakings are made possible by the success of the Friends’ fund-raising activities and by donations. Donations to the Friends are tax deductible.

Member's Benefits

Members receive a quarterly newsletter, The Gardens, containing articles of interest and a program of forthcoming events. Free entry to the Mount Tomah Botanic Garden, the Mount Annan Botanic Garden, and the Sydney Tropical Centre is included in the membership. Members also receive a free quarterly seed offer, a discount on most items in the Gardens Shops, and the opportunity to attend lectures, seminars, and practical demonstrations. As well there are special interest tours both within Australia and overseas, bush walks, bird walks and visits to areas behind-the-scenes. The Mount Tomah Sub-committee of the Friends organises events at the Mount Tomah Botanic Garden and in the district.
