They ran it very successfully until 1916, with international acclaim, until Daisy died, and Dolly married and it was too much for Amy to run alone. It has had a chequered career, as a convent, a school, private residence, and now back to a Grand Guest House. A beautiful reminder of the grace and charm of mountain architecture, and the comfort and convenience of a well run Guest House.
This year has added a new attraction at Leura House, every LAST Sunday of the month, the Blue Mountains Radio Players perform live Radio Plays at 2:30pm and Devonshire Tea is served after the performance. The "Theatre of the Mind" is designed to take the audience back 70 and 80 years, to the days of the 1930's and 40's.
