"The development of this Guide has been an exciting project. It will provide a valuable source of information for people with disabilities and will hopefully encourage many to visit our beautiful region. The Blue Mountains offers a vast array of attractions and many facilities are accessible
to people with restricted mobility.

Congratulations to Noel Hiffernan and GROW for an excellent resource."

For at least 22,000 years (and quite probably very much longer) Aboriginal peoples have been present here & the Dharug and the Gundungurra people. In fact, it is barely 200 years since Europeans gazed in awe at the cascades and canyons of what is now known geologically to be the oldest land on earth.

Today we invite you to enjoy a region with great historical and environmental importance and yet one which is imbued with the very best of the 21st century. Fine food, comfortable accommodation and the exhilaration of the Mountains climate are our incomparable assets.
With the help of this Guide in directing you to those places which are accessible, we hope that your Blue Mountains experience will be truly memorable.
