…naturally beautiful clothing
If you love clothes that feel good on the skin and fabrics that let your body breathe, come and see us at Ravir in Blackheath. We stock quality clothing for men and women. In summer we carry hemp/cotton, bamboo, silk, and linen, and we're renowned for our range of winter knitwear including possum/merino from New Zealand, and woolens from Ireland.
We're constantly on the look-out for quality fabrics, in styles to suit real bodies. We like the idea of clothing produced with the welfare of the environment in mind. Bamboo and hemp are great examples - they're both low-impact in terms of pesticides and herbicides, and also the amount of water they need. In short - they grow like weeds.
We also favour Australian-made clothing, including The Ark Clothing Company and Valia - both designed and made in Melbourne. Most of our linen comes from Europe - from Italy, Greece, France and Poland - as well as from the United States.
Our winter knitwear is predominantly possum/merino from New Zealand, and is by far the best-selling winter product. Possum fur is a hollow fibre, and is 50 per cent warmer than wool, and very light to wear.
As for our take on fashion, we're of an age where comfort comes first. It's not just about the fibre - although that's a great place to start - but about styling to suit real bodies. Our philosophy is if your clothing feels good - not itchy or scratchy and not too tight - it will look generally look good as well.
Opening hours: every day from 10am through to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, 10am til around 3.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Depending on weather conditions, we sometimes close early.

Tani capri pant
The Tani capri pant is a great alternative for the hotter climate. The same beautiful soft, breathable fabric but if the ankles are bare, it's amazing how much cooler you feel. Important to know that the capri is quite a wide leg, and doesn't suit some women (eg it may not work for a shorter person). It really depends on your preference but if you prefer a more tapered capri, this is not for you.
