A holiday home that allows you to enjoy all the best that Leura and the Blue Mountains has to offer. Perfectly located, well furnished, lovingly maintained, all the ingredients are here to make your stay a memorable and relaxing experience. The large, comfortable house has lots of areas to relax in, both inside and out. From the wide front veranda you can look above the National Park towards the neighbouring village of Katoomba.
Sophia’s is a traditional Blue Mountains style weatherboard house that sits beautifully in an elevated position providing open vistas and a quiet, charming ambience. Located on a quite side street that runs parallel to the Leura Mall, the location in Jersey Avenue is perfectly positioned to be close to everything.
The Leura village centre, with it’s collection of restaurants, cafés, unique shops, galleries and wonderful spring flowering cherry trees is just an easy 10 minute walk. In the other direction the start of many special bush walks and cliff top lookouts are only 5 minutes away. In addition the Katoomba/Leura Trolley bus service stops at the end of the road, ready to whisk you off to all the local tourist attractions, including the famous Echo Point and Three Sisters.
The large, comfortable house has lots of areas to relax in, both inside and out. From the wide front veranda you can look above the National Park towards the neighbouring village of Katoomba, giving you a lovely open view and a perfect spot for an evening tipple. The garden at the back offer plenty of space for children to play in and a BBQ and deck to enjoy those summer days in true Australian fashion
The large lounge area give everyone plenty of space to relax and enjoy each others company, play games, watch movies or toast marshmallows over the fire. The separate dining area provides seating for 13 – enough for the biggest of Family Feasts and also has a log burner to give that extra touch of ambience.
The property also has a children’s nook with a TV and Play Station 3 to keep those younger members of the group entertained and having fun.

Whatever the season the house has something to enjoy, be it the veranda, deck and garden in the summer or the wood fires and deep leather loungers in the cooler months, catching up with family and friends will always be pleasant.

How To Get Here..
By Car from Sydney.
Follow the M4 west, out of Sydney. Soon after passing over the Nepean River the M4 will become Highway 34 – The Great Western Highway. Follow this road as it climbs through the Blue Mountains National Park and other towns of the Mountains region. After Wentworth Falls, still on the Great Western Highway, continue past the first sign to Leura, which is also signposted for the Golf Course. Take the next turn to Leura, up a slip road, this is signposted as Leura Town Centre. At the roundabout, turn left, then continue straight over at the small roundabout into Leura Mall. Drive through the Mall until you arrive at the small roundabout where you should continue straight over, then take the second turn on the right which is Malvern Road then turn left into Jersey Avenue. Follow the road down until you get to number 56A, it will be on your left.
By Car from Lithgow and beyond.
Follow the Great Western Highway out of Lithgow past Mt Victoria and on through the Blue Mountains. At the turn indicated for Leura, take the slip road off the Great Western Highway up to the roundabout. Turn right and then straight over the small roundabout into Leura Mall. Drive through the Mall until you arrive at the small roundabout where you should continue straight over, then take the Second turn on the right which is Malvern Road then turn left into Jersey Avenue. Follow the road down until you get to number 56A, it will be on your left
Leura is situated on the Blue Mountains line which runs regular services from Sydney Central station to Lithgow.
As you exit the Railway station, at the top of the steps, turn right and walk down the hill through the Leura Mall. At the roundabout continue straight over, then take the second turn on the right which is Malvern road then turn left into Jersey Avenue. Follow the road down until you get to number 56A, it will be on your left.
