Scenic World Blue MountainsA ‘must visit’ Blue Mountains attraction is the world famous Scenic World Blue Mountains in Katoomba where you can experience a 720 metre journey in a glass bottom Skyway cable car suspended 270m above ancient ravines and dazzling waterfalls, or descend 415m through a cliff side tunnel on one of the world’s steepest railways, then wander along a wheelchair friendly, 2km boardwalk through ancient rainforest. Scenic World is guaranteed to offer a unique memorable Blue Mountains experience you’ll want to share with friends and family over and over again. Open 9am daily all year round.

Mount Tomah Botanic GardenSituated along the Bell’s Line of Road at an altitude of over 1000 metres in the northern Blue Mountains, the Mount Tomah Botanic Garden was established as the cool-climate garden of the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney. It was opened to the public in 1987 and is home to over 5000 species of plants from the cooler parts of the world. Many of these have been collected by staff of the Royal Botanic Gardens in the wild and have not previously been grown in Australia. Mount Tomah Botanic Garden is open daily from 10am.

Jenolan CavesJust one hour’s drive from Katoomba is one of the Blue Mountains’ most spectacular natural attractions. Jenolan Caves is one of the finest and oldest cave systems in the world featuring underground rivers and incredible formations. Nine stunning show caves are open every day for guided tours. You can also try adventure caving, self-guided tours or simply relax for an afternoon of live music. With a narrow winding road into Jenolan Caves it is important to note that this road is one way between 11.45am to 1.45pm everyday (at which time exit is only permitted via Oberon Road).

Zig Zag RailwayStep back in time behind a steam locomotive and experience the Zig Zag Railway. Your journey on the Zig Zag Railway departs from Clarence Station and weaves it’s way into the Lithgow Valley through gorgeous Blue Mountains’ scenery. A remarkable and historic illustration of Australian transport engineering, this Blue Mountains attraction operates everyday except Christmas Day situated 10km east of Lithgow or just under 40 minutes drive from the heart of Katoomba.


Norman Lindsay Gallery & MuseumHome of The Magic Pudding, the Norman Lindsay Gallery & Museum, operated by The National Trust, enables visitors the opportunity to experience and purchase original and authenticated facsimile reproductions of Norman Lindsay's work. Original Woodblock Prints, Limited Edition Watercolour Prints and Facsimile Etchings are on display within the gallery. Norman Lindsay Gallery is situated in Faulconbridge just over an hour’s drive from Sydney or around 30 minutes east of Katoomba. The onsite café is open for breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon tea.

The Edge CinemaRain, hail or shine, situated along the Great Western Highway at Katoomba discover an amazing giant screen cinema experience. Featuring a 6 storey high cinema screen, The Edge screens a unique movie showcasing the spectacular Blue Mountains wilderness. ‘The Edge –The Movie’ takes you to breathtaking inaccessible Blue Mountains locations including incredibly rare footage of Wollemi Pines, waterfalls, cliff faces and valleys.


Bygone Beautys
Have you ever thought about where you could find more than 3,000 tea pots on display?
Bygone Beautys in Leura boasts the world’s largest private tea pot collection. Open 7 days a week, enjoy traditional Devonshire Tea as you marvel at tea pots, some dating back more than 300 years.
